About the Role:

The Brand PR Communications Manager will be a strategic, creative, and media-savvy professional that will help lead and execute external communications initiatives that drive brand awareness, sales, and consumer engagement. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in public relations / communications agency or in-house experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with major high-profile brands a plus.

  • 5-8 years of professional experience in Brand PR/communications and media relations. Previous agency or in-house experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven earned media experience, including working with journalists at all levels of media.
  • Detail-oriented project manager able to work independently and cross-functionally in a large enterprise setting.
  • Outstanding writing (with an emphasis on AP style), editing and presentation skills, with an ability to adapt messaging and content for a variety of audiences.
  • Creative thinker and problem solver with both big activations ideas and day-to-day efforts to work smarter.
  • Passion for PR reporting and measurement. Can leverage monitoring/analytics software and tools to tell an impactful story.
  • Day-to-day budget and vendor management experience, including multiple agencies and subcontractors.
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and on a high-performing team. Capable of managing and meeting multiple, overlapping deadlines.
  • Adept in MS Office Suite (PPT, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams) with ability to quickly learn other applications, as needed.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Profitability

  • Has primary accountability for the restaurant P&L and actively manages towards desired financial outcomes
  • Reviews key P&L lines to increase profitability for the restaurant
  • Drives sales through proactive guest service, people development & operations management

Guest

  • Motivates and directs team members to exceed guest expectations with accurate, friendly, and fast service in a clean facility
  • Manages the guest experience through operations and timely response to Guest issues
  • Problem solves guest feedback systems to determine root-causes and develops action plans to address issues
  • Identifies and interacts with the community to engage prospective guest and execute on local marketing initiatives

People

  • Leads the restaurant’s recruitment and selection process to build and retain an effective restaurant team
  • On-boards new team members by training and guiding them through the certification process
  • Inspires the restaurant team by effectively managing individual and team recognition programs
  • Provides coaching and feedback to Team Members, Shift Coordinators and Assistant Managers to increase the restaurant team’s capabilities and raise restaurant performance

Operations

  • Manages restaurant labor using optimal Manager staffing and Team Member scheduling
  • Enforces compliance with government regulations, employment laws and BKC policies
  • Ensures that restaurant upholds operational and brand standards

 

*Performs duties of the Assistant Manager & Hourly Shift coordinator when necessary

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and e-mail
  • High School Diploma or GED required, 2 years of college preferred
  • 1-2 years of previous restaurant management experience
  • Strong understanding of P&L management & drivers of restaurant profitability
  • Ability to prioritize own and others’ work and time to meet deadlines and objectives
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of guest service principles

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Serve as leader for the Guest Services department staff of over 400 Event Staff members by delivering on our service standards of Project Lonestar through hiring, training, staffing, and performance feedback.

  • Serves as “Manager on Duty” during events by preparing event day information, leading pre-shift meetings, and being the primary Guest Services point of contact during events.

  • Proactively and appropriately respond to staff and guests in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner, and serve as an escalation point for staff and guest inquiries, concerns, and/or complaints.

  • Responsible for scheduling Guest Services Event Staff for Rangers Baseball games.

  • Oversees the Guest Services Supervisor Team, including conducting end-of-season employee evaluations.

  • Partner with the REV Entertainment team to ensure proper staffing for all non-baseball events.

  • Leads and develops the Guest Services Coordinator.

  • Manage department payroll for all Guest Services event staff.

  • Work collaboratively with Human Resources on recruiting efforts to maintain proper staffing levels.

  • Schedule and participate in all interviews for open part-time positions.

  • Manage the execution of all Guest Services Event Staff appreciation events and work closely with the Sr. Director, Guest Services, on event staff recognition initiatives.

  • Serves as the point of contact for all accessible services at Globe Life Field and Choctaw Stadium, including the sensory room, physical and non-physical needs for guests and staff.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, marketing, sports management, business administration, or related field required.  Equivalent, relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

  • Experience managing a large number of Event Staff.

  • Previous management in the sports/entertainment venue, resort, hotel, or comparable hospitality environment.

  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CRM, Tableau, Tickets.com, Scheduling Software, etc.) Ability to learn and learn new software programs.

  • Strong ability to work with a diverse population in a collaborative, respectful manner with a high degree of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.

  • Excellent written and verbal skills required.

  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills required.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; proven ability to handle a high volume of detailed work and ability to multitask and prioritize projects.

  • Ability to research and innovate as it relates to guest experience best practices.

Your Mission:

Lead development of ideas, concepts, and prototypes to solve problems and meet customer/consumer needs in new and superior ways. Manage validation and commercialization of new packaging solutions in support of the New Product Development Process. Lead existing packaging evolution in support of developing new product specifications. Orchestrate review of food and packaging interactions and optimizations along with operational procedures related to the packaging in the store and across the counter to the customer. This position will provide packaging expertise to cross-functional teams and lead external groups, such as packaging suppliers, industry experts and consultants to create, scale, validate and commercialize new product packaging and materials in support of business initiatives. The position operates with minimal guidance from management. The position will handle confidential and proprietary information.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Lead creative development, experimental designs, packaging procedures, and specifications for new commercial or retail packaging that meet project parameters that include defined ingredient/food attributes, established pricing, marketing goals, packaging regulations, and operational feasibility.
  • Create and maintain effective supplier relationships that are conducive to creative development collaboration, quality products, timely delivery, cost effective sustainable packaging that are in alignment with internal and industry targets.
  • Manage prototype creation and evaluations of package /food interactions, organize and manage test runs to validate or modify experimental packaging, and/or packaging procedures. Develop final specifications for the production of commercial or retail packaging that ensures reproducibility
  • Work with cross functional team members to; manage timelines with key milestones and decision dates, coordinate graphics, and pricing/ production quantity drivers, develop training programs/guidelines for Operations personnel.
  • Provide leadership to external groups, such as suppliers, industry experts and consultants to develop, validate and commercialize new product packaging and materials.
  • Support business initiatives by providing technical support to marketing, sales, suppliers and external customers on packaging capabilities, specifications and applications. Apply training and business expertise to evaluate customer/competitor packaging.
  • Evaluate and recommend commercial or retail packaging or packaging techniques to identify and commercialize product improvement and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Execute assigned tasks from management in the evaluation, development, implementation and commercialization of new commercial or retail packaging.
  • Monitor emerging packaging technologies at universities, other companies, conferences/trade shows, suppliers, etc.
  • Document all work and prepare various project reports to ensure complete communication of project status, progress, issues, solutions, timelines, and accountability.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as needed or assigned.

 

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Packaging, Food Science, Engineering or related discipline. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of research and development experience in the restaurant industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of various packaging techniques for corrugate and paper (die cutting, form folding, gluing, etc.) and plastics (blow molding, extrusion, injection molding, thermoforming, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of food ingredients, food chemistry, food processing, and food functionality.
  • Demonstrated ability to create innovative solutions.
  • Evidence of highly developed problem-solving and ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and offer solutions.
  • Must be able to comprehend technical articles, research papers, or presentations.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to present complex and technical information in oral presentations and written formats to a variety of internal and external levels and audiences.
  • Evidence of ability to prioritize and effectively handle multiple projects and priorities with a results-oriented approach.
  • Previous experience handling and maintaining confidential documents, trade secrets, costs, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to represent Research and Development/ Innovation in a professional manner.
  • MS degree in Packaging, Food Science or Engineering preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food science, geometry, physics, chemistry and statistics preferred.

  • Position requires work daily in an environment that is protected from weather conditions.
